Privacy Policy
Habibitcoin operates Bitcoin Signet Faucet and its browser-based testing tools. This policy describes faucet records, local transaction data, and requests to external services.
Effective date: September 11, 2026
Information We Process
When you request Signet sats, the faucet stores your submitted address, amount, request status, request time, transaction ID when broadcast, and IP address. These records support payouts, the five-request limit per address or IP over 24 hours, and abuse prevention. Server access logs also record request metadata such as IP address, requested URL, user agent, time, and response status.
Recent request information is public: addresses, amounts, times, status, transaction IDs, and explorer links appear in the faucet history or status API. An address may look shortened on a page, but the full address is available in the API or link. IP addresses are not included in these public records. Broadcast transactions and their outputs are public on the Signet network.
Local Transaction Data
The Transaction Doctor parses pasted PSBTs and raw transactions in your browser. The UTXO Workshop performs its calculations locally. Pasting or importing data for local analysis does not upload that data to the faucet server. PSBTs can still contain sensitive information such as public keys, derivation paths, addresses, and transaction history; use public examples or test-only data.
A mempool.space lookup is a separate, optional action. When you choose it, your browser sends the transaction ID or address being queried directly to mempool.space, which also receives your IP address and normal browser request metadata. Local analysis does not require that lookup.
Wallet Data
The browser wallet derives keys and signs transactions locally. Its code does not send your passphrase or private key to the faucet server. Opening the wallet starts balance requests to mempool.space for the derived public address, with periodic refreshes while the wallet is open. Sending a transaction sends signed transaction bytes to that service for broadcast. These actions expose public wallet activity and your connection metadata to mempool.space, not your private key.
The wallet is for Signet testing only. Never enter mainnet keys, recovery phrases, or valuable wallet material. Local processing is not protection against compromised page scripts, browser extensions, or devices. See wallet safety.
Faucet Abuse Protection
The faucet uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check requests for automated abuse. Its widget contacts Cloudflare from the faucet page, and the server sends the resulting token to Cloudflare for validation. Cloudflare processes technical signals including IP address, browser information, and the site's origin. This check is separate from optional analytics. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Optional Analytics and Browser Storage
Optional Google Analytics is not enabled in this deployment, so the site does not load the Google Analytics tag or start Google Analytics requests. If this status changes, eligible public pages will require an explicit opt-in before the tag is loaded.
The interactive Transaction Doctor, UTXO Workshop, conditions, rescue, fork rehearsal, and wallet surfaces are excluded from analytics. The educational Workshop Core guide may be eligible when analytics is enabled. Tool inputs and wallet secrets are not analytics events.
Advertising
Google advertising is disabled. No Google advertising scripts are loaded.
Only selected substantial reports are eligible for advertising when the operator enables it with consent management configured. Faucet access, test-sat allocation, and tool use do not depend on viewing or clicking ads, completing offers, or disabling an ad blocker. There are no offer-completion identifiers used to unlock access.
External Links
Following a link to an explorer, documentation site, or wallet project takes you to a service operated by someone else. That service receives your connection metadata and any address or transaction identifier included in the link, and its own privacy policy applies.
Retention and Contact
Faucet records are kept in the service database; the application does not automatically delete them when the daily rate-limit window ends. Blockchain records cannot be removed by the site operator.
